This 19 year old white woman lives on Grafton Street, and sometimes gets put up in a B & B. She talks about the plight of homeless women in Dublin, her eating disorder, and her multiple suicide attempts. This is a very dramatic piece that has been included in a play called "Displaced," about the state of being homeless around the world. There are comedic moments as well. We sat and drank a beer in the rain on Grafton street while a quintet of high school girls played the Pachelbel Canon, the Entertainer, Danny Boy, etc. for tourists. Local ragamuffins she referred to as "street rats" interrupt at a certain point. | ||
