An older male, aged around 70 at the time of recording, talks about he was a "globetrotter" in his early years. During the 1920's, he spent many years traveling around America without paying any fare until being caught at the age of 18 and fined for .80 cents.  He goes on to talk about how he sung a song to amuse the judge in lieu of paying the fine. This was recorded in 2007.

White male from Long Island. 27 years old. Chiropractor. Says 'Long Island' is pronounced as one word. Growing up near the city on Long Island was crowded. Not many trees or birds, a lot of businesses. Didn't like growing up there, but had good parents. Began playing ice hockey when he was 10 or 11, which helped his confidence and made his adolescence bearable. He had asthma as a kid. A chiropractor cured him of his asthma. Had been looking for a house for a year, found a lot of bad houses. The one he bought, he and his wife walked in and just felt it was it. A patient of his was the bank manager where he got the home loan but discovered the house had a lien on it. His wife's name is Lisa. They do everything together. Says the AMA has had it out for chiropractors for a long time and gave them a bad reputation. They have the lowest malpractice insurance rates because so few people are ever hurt by a chiropractor.

American Southern: Southern Dialects: Southern Accents: Plantation Southern: Tidewater Southern, Upper-Class, White Female.� Ann Peets was recorded in a hospital in Georgia, at age 78 in 1993.� Her family and accent are from the Mississippi Delta region.� She has a slightly diluted Tidewater or Plantation Southern dialect, shared by other families along the coastal and riverbed regions of the American South wherein rich plantation owners kept contact with British merchants during the 1700's and 1800's, dropping their "r's" along with the Southern British elite class to sound more refined.� This dialect also has elements of "ebonics" or "Gullah" sounds, as many children of plantation owners were raised by African slave nannies alongside their own children.

Bertha. 90 year old woman born and raised in Barrow, Alaska. When she was a child, there we less than 50 houses and 100 people. Now there are a lot of people. Alcohol is a problem in the town. There is no bar. She adopted two girls and one boy. Her boy died in 1970s while seal hunting on the ice.

A 90 year old Inupiaq woman talks about being born and raised in Barrow (which has since reverted to its original name of Utqiagvik) and how it has changed since she was a little girl. She also talks about adopting three children and how her son passed away from a hunting accident in the 1970s.
